Time Flies..
As the holiday season approaches, it feels like the days just disappear. Every year, especially after summer, time seems to fast-forward — we barely settle into a new school year before the holidays are suddenly right around the corner. I honestly can’t believe 2025 is almost over. It’s been such a whirlwind year — and speaking of time flying, I have to admit… I’m really not great at keeping up with my blog. I often take a month or two off between posts, and every time I come back, it feels like I start with, “Can you believe it’s already…?” Well… here I am saying it again. 😂
Even living in Hawaii, where the seasons hardly change, I can notice subtle shifts. The sunrise comes a little later, the sunset a little earlier, and when the temperature drops to around 68–70°F, people here start pulling out sweatshirts and jackets — which must look funny to anyone living somewhere colder! 😂 It might not seem like much compared to other places, but even here, there’s a gentle hint of the season.
Life has been a bit hectic on my end lately. Have you taken your Christmas card photos yet? I usually have ours done well before the busy season begins, but this year… I haven’t. My “younger one” — though he’s already 15 — injured his ankle playing soccer at the end of October, right before tryouts for his first year of high school. Suddenly, life got even busier.
For weeks now, I’ve been hearing “Mom! … Mom!!” nonstop. Part of me knows I probably won’t be called that this many times ever again — at least not like this — and somehow, that makes even the chaos feel precious. It’s been exhausting, but in a strangely sweet way too — if that makes sense.
Thinking about these small, ordinary moments — the rides to school, the complaints, the late-night talks, even the endless “Mom!” — makes me feel sentimental. I know that someday I’ll look back and miss these times more than I can imagine. Motherhood really is a constant balance of letting go while holding on at the same time.
Meanwhile, I’ve been happily overwhelmed with more inquiries than ever. Thank you so much for finding me and reaching out — it truly means the world. Every story, every family, every message reminds me why I love doing what I do.
As a little thank-you this season, I’m offering a Holiday Special — 10% off all sessions in November and December. If you’ve been thinking about updating your family photos in Oahu, capturing your Christmas card photos, or creating an updated family portrait, I’d love to help you preserve those precious moments. These memories — the big ones, the small ones, the perfectly imperfect ones — are the ones we treasure the most.
I’m looking forward to capturing beautiful family portraits and Christmas photos in Oahu this holiday season, creating memories you’ll cherish for years to come. ✨
Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
