Ala Moana Beach Park is one of my favorite locations for family photography in Oahu, especially for families staying in Waikiki.
Just a short drive from many Waikiki hotels, this beautiful park offers a wonderful combination of sandy beaches, calm ocean views, tropical palm trees, and impressive banyan trees.
The variety of backgrounds makes it possible to capture different looks during a single photo session without traveling between locations.

Letting Kids Be Kids
One of my favorite things about photographing families with young children is their wonderful, unpredictable energy.
During this session, the kids had so much fun exploring the beach, running through the sand, and playing with palm leaves.
Rather than asking everyone to stand still and smile for every photograph, I love giving children space to move, laugh, and enjoy the moment.
Of course, we always make time for beautiful family portraits, too. But those spontaneous moments — a big laugh, a playful expression, or a sweet interaction between siblings — often become some of the most treasured images.
